About Me
Hi, I’m Andrew, and welcome to The Rideshare Life! My journey in Austin began in 2004, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the city’s culture, diversity, and ever-growing community. My career has taken me through various roles from retail banking and digital marketing to corporate communications and operations, but in late 2024, I found myself at a crossroads after being laid off. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I saw it as an opportunity—one that led me back to the world of rideshare driving.
I first dipped my toes into rideshare about five years ago when a family friend needed a reliable ride to the airport. I enjoyed it then, but when I picked it up again in December 2024, I truly discovered the joy of meeting new people, exploring different parts of Austin, and experiencing the city from a fresh perspective. Every ride is a new story, and every passenger brings something unique to the journey.
When I’m not on the road, I’m at home with my two dachshunds, Zelda and Linc, who bring endless joy and personality to my days. I love spending time outdoors with them, discovering new parks and trails in and around Austin. I also have a passion for building LEGO sets, going to the theater, and traveling whenever I get the chance.
The Rideshare Life isn’t just about driving—it’s about embracing the adventure, finding connection in unexpected places, and making the most of the road ahead. Whether you’re a fellow driver, a rideshare enthusiast, or just someone curious about the experience, I invite you to follow along as I share stories, insights, and experiences from the driver’s seat.
Thanks for stopping by—I hope to see you on the road!
